About The Position

The Forward Order Picker is responsible for picking customer orders using scan guns to ensure accuracy and transporting these orders to the appropriate packing areas using a pallet jack or cart. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency of the distribution process within the Washington Distribution Center.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic computer experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Possesses the ability to read and interpret documents such as orders and instructions.
• Ability to write and understand reports and correspondence.
• Good knowledge of basic math; ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts such as quantities and combined box counts.
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Capable of dealing with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt and change as business needs change daily.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Comfortable standing for long periods of time; majority of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Fills customer orders with a pallet jack or cart.
• Ensure each order is accurately picked.
• Transports orders to the appropriate destination for packing and/or shipping.
• All other duties as requested.
• May be assigned to various other areas or departments when needed to meet company goals.
