About The Position
The Community Learning Center Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting potential students by providing comprehensive information about educational opportunities available at the learning center. This position involves effective communication with various stakeholders, including post-secondary partner institutions, local organizations, businesses, and students. The coordinator is responsible for scheduling courses at the Community Learning Center (CLC) based on the needs of the community and the offerings of partner institutions. Additionally, the coordinator proctors exams and conducts assessment testing to ensure students are adequately prepared for their educational journeys. In this role, the coordinator collaborates with economic development leaders and workforce development agencies to align the resources of Ivy Tech and its partners with the needs of local employers and community organizations. This includes building partnerships that enhance training opportunities and educational resources available to the community. The coordinator also engages in marketing and community outreach activities, promoting CLC services, presenting to various groups, and assessing educational needs through student surveys. The coordinator is tasked with preparing participation reports, including monthly activity reports and semester-end evaluations, to track the effectiveness of programs and services offered at the CLC. Networking is also a key responsibility, as the coordinator generates leads for Workforce Consultants, facilitating employer partnership meetings that can lead to increased training opportunities in the community and at the learning center.
