Washbay Attendant - Transportation

About The Position
Work in a wet environment and ensure all equipment (tractors, trailers, etc) are cleaned per required procedures. We are looking for candidates available Monday-Friday 7am-3pm. This role takes place at our transportation department located at 8350 Scudder Rd, Kinloch, MO 63140.
Requirements
- Previous work experience in a shop type environment preferred but not required
- Work well with others
- Dependable
- Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
- Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
- If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Clean and polish aluminum wheels
- Use under wash equipment in safe and efficient manner
- Use brush on a pole to reach taller places
- Use pressure washer wand at 2000 psi
- Communicate with spotter in bringing in equipment in a safe manner to be cleaned
- Follow all Wash bay, Truck Shop, and Union rules and regulations
- Work in the truck shop as directed by Fleet Manager or Supervisor when Wash bay is closed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
