About The Position

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the wash tank operator performs various duties within the plant. Perform a variety of general laboring activities, including IQF sanitation and operating equipment. Job functions may include but are not limited to: Hourly checks of the Wash Tanks for Ph and Chlorine levels. Notifying line leads/supervisor or Maintenance of concentrations readings that are out of range. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, to include areas around the wash tanks. For example, hang up spots like rollers, rakes, and belts. Careful monitor of the conditions of the wash tanks and how product flows through it and notifying management as needed due to changes. Making sure utensils are check at beginning of shift and during the shift to make sure they are all accounted for and in good working condition. Wash tank Sanitation: Draining tanks, rinsing and foaming Understand HMI panels for the wash line Understand how to operate the wash tanks. Ex. Monitors wash tanks chlorine concentrations to be maintained at acceptable levels. Makes sure wash tanks do not stop, get plugged up. Operate, maintain and clean OP Sensors Operate, maintain and clean Bug Reel Operate, maintain and clean LYCOL System Ensure that Chlorine and Ph are operating at acceptable levels. Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing. Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition. Ability to do titrations of Chlorine and make recommendations to Management and Maintenance when out of compliance. Able to do basic repairs on Chlorine and Ph Systems. Works independently and in a team as assigned and moves between job functions as needed. Processing must be completed in a timely manner to maintain established standards/goals. Follow safety policies. Adheres to GMP guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Demonstrates a sense of urgency for Safety, Quality and Productivity. Communicates effectively with team members, leadership, and other departments. Must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness. Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Required to work any shift.
  • Required to work overtime if necessary.
  • Trained to operate, pallet jack, electric floor jack, and forklift.
  • Trained in sanitation basics PPE's, lock out/tag out, allergen cleaning, chemical safety, SDS, confined spaces, kosher clean up.
  • Authorized to work in the US, E-Verify participant, Social Security Trace, Drug Test and Criminal Background.
  • Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic math.

Responsibilities
