About The Position

A beloved hotel with an enviable oceanfront location is now even better, following a $50 million renovation. Our newly redesigned Loews Miami Beach Hotel includes all-new touchpoints throughout the property. Welcome to a South Beach Icon, Reimagined. Position is responsible for the proper cleaning of all linens. Additional responsibilities include loading and unloading dryers. Inputting proper formulas into washing and drying equipment. Moving linen carts to assist Laundry attendants. Keeping work area neat and organized. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Loads linen into the washer Selects the correct formula card for the type of linen being washed Records washer start and finish on the production report. Unloads linen from the washer Loads linen in and out of the dryer Keeps work area and assigned machine clean Performs any other task required by the Laundry and Uniform Services Assistant Encourages a positive attitude among employees and treat other employees (and the guests) with courtesy and respect Completes any other duties as assigned by management Notifies immediate supervisors promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance Is polite, friendly, and helpful to the guests, management, and fellow employees Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment, and work area Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards Complies with safety regulations and procedures Complies with hotel policies and rules Recycles whenever possible Remains current with hotel information and changes Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards Plus any other duties as assigned by management Supportive Functions and Responsibilities Promotes and applies teamwork skill at all times Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of all problems and/or unusual matters of significance Is polite, friendly, and helpful to all guests, management and fellow employees Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards Complies with required safety regulations and procedures Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules Recycles whenever possible Remains current with hotel information and changes Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards

Requirements

No experience necessary
Must have Basic English skills
Must be able to stand for 8 hours and withstand hot temperatures at the washing machine
Must be able to pull wet sheets and lay them into a cart for processing
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
Must be flexible to work any shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Must be customer-service orientated and have excellent hospitality skills
Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards

Nice To Haves

High school diploma is an asset
