About The Position

The Team Member position is designed to work seamlessly with other team members to achieve common goals. The role involves executing tasks assigned by the Store Manager or assistant, ensuring the store is kept spotless, and maintaining a clean and organized environment for customers. Team Members will engage with customers, assist them throughout the wash process, and ensure that all equipment and areas are well-maintained and operational. This position also serves as a stepping stone for those aspiring to become an assistant manager, with opportunities to develop relevant skills and demonstrate leadership qualities.

Requirements

• A sociable personality with a desire to work as part of a team serving the public
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
• Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to and from the car wash

Responsibilities

• Work with other team members to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals
• Warmly welcome each customer and assist them throughout the wash process
• Maintain a positive attitude and wear a smile as part of the uniform
• Engage customers in polite, friendly conversation
• Keep the site clean and organized
• Become a subject matter expert on wash methods, safety, inspection, and maintenance
• Clean out vacuums and unclog vacuum hoses
• Guide customers onto the tunnel/prep area
• Prep customers' cars with prep brush
• Handle vacuum area trash hourly
• Sweep vacuum area/parking lot
• Ensure property is clean of any trash and debris
• Maintain clean landscape
• Wash/Fold any towels collected from customers
• Ensure towel cart is stocked and ready for customers
• Check in on customers to ensure wash quality and good experience
• Work with managers on any tunnel/backroom problems
• Post morning and nightly numbers
• Open the store and ensure all equipment is working
• Close the wash ensuring all equipment is shut off and ready for the morning
• Clean and pressure wash the tunnel
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment
• Set alarm nightly and lock all doors when closed
• Clean vacuum canisters and hoses daily
• Clean bathrooms and ensure supplies are available
• Clean office and lobby, stocking shelf products
• Organize and clean the backroom
• Ensure vehicles are properly prepped
• Keep tunnel, parking lot, office/lobby, and equipment room clean
• Handle ice and snow build-up for safety
• Maintain a friendly and welcoming attitude with all customers
• Assist managers with inventory
• Be competent with DRB and manage plans, change receipt paper, run reports, and sell car care products
• Be ready to move up to assistant manager
• Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines
• Maintain a clean uniform
• Fill out incident claims properly
• Report any issues to management
• Roll vacuum hoses and empty vacuum canisters
• Ensure all LED lights are operational and report any outages
• Follow the cleaning checklist
• Fill out incident reports as needed
• Act as a one-minute manager
• Post on 'can't wash' anytime washing is not possible
