About The Position

If you love cars and don’t mind getting your hands a little dirty, we want you! Join our detail team and be part of a fast-paced, fun dealership environment. Purpose of the Position: The primary purpose of the Get Ready Team Member role is to aid the sales and marketing efforts of the dealership through cleaning and refurbishing new and pre-owned vehicles for dealership display or delivery to customers. The efforts of the Get Ready Team are essential in order for the Sales Team to be able to provide a quality experience for our guests in a timely fashion.

Requirements

  • No previous experience required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to safely handle the strength demands of the power washer
  • Lifting requirements vary but no more than 75 lbs
  • Must be able to pass a work required physical

Responsibilities

  • Prepare new and pre-owned vehicles for delivery to customers
  • Clean and prepare new and pre-owned inventory for retail display
  • Taking photos of inventory ready for retail display
  • Review images from photos for quality control purposes
  • Assisting the Sales Team in maintaining the vehicle inventory display (inventory location, alignment, etc.)
  • Conforms to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances
  • Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down door jambs
  • Applies wax to the auto body, and wipes or buffs surface
  • Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris
  • Cleans upholstery, rugs and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices
  • Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals
  • Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents
  • Applies special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturer's recommendations
  • Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery and poor mechanical operation
  • Restores appearance of engine area, rugs and upholstery and painted surfaces. Uses touch-up paint, dyes and other appropriate materials as directed / needed
  • Uses proper eye, hand and body protection when using products that require protection
  • Applies dressing on tires and tire wells
  • Maintains showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable condition at all times
  • Ensures proper stickers are displayed in the vehicle's window
  • Follow the documented process to capture images of new and pre-owned vehicles for digital marketing efforts on our websites and other digital properties
  • Keep the work area neat and clean
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management
  • Other duties as assigned
