About The Position

The Warranty Specialist is responsible for coordinating and performing warranty repairs and product replacements for completed homes in accordance with established warranty, standards, and maintenance guidelines. This role serves as a primary liaison between customers, homeowners, authorized builders, and internal departments to ensure timely resolution of warranty-related concerns while delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school OR six months to one year of related experience and/or training OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, correspondence, and reports
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including percentages, measurements, and geometry
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply common sense to routine situations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing-related software
  • Valid driver’s license required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous home construction experience and blueprint reading preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between the company, customers, homeowners, and authorized builders regarding warranty and service needs
  • Independently determine appropriate resolutions for warranty and service issues or collaborate with authorized builders as needed
  • Perform warranty service work, including carpentry, drywall repair, basic electrical and plumbing tasks, and installation or repair of windows, doors, toilets, faucets, and related components
  • Identify materials and products required for warranty and service calls and coordinate with customer service for fulfillment
  • Complete detailed documentation for each warranty or service call, including notes on additional repairs required
  • Perform shortage work, capital projects, or maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Communicate regularly with customer service regarding completed calls and any unforeseen delays
  • Coordinate weekly service schedules with customer service
  • Report customer concerns, grievances, or product quality issues to appropriate departments
  • Maintain proper use, care, and maintenance of company tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Maintain positive working relationships to promote a cooperative and productive work environment
  • Follow good housekeeping practices to support safety, efficiency, and morale
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
