Warranty Manager - Valley Metro Knowledge and Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in vehicle and parts warranty administration required Must be proficient in developing and populating Excel spreadsheets Intermediate to advanced experience working with Microsoft Office products. Have strong analytical skills Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Experience with time entry, billing, scheduling, and light accounting preferred. Must be experienced in data retrieval from maintenance management systems. Knowledge and experience in transit bus warranty administration and support fleet is desirable Highly detail oriented and organized with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while exceeding Must have experience in dealing with vendors, clients, and various external stakeholders Skills: Will be a team player who achieves business objectives and focuses on continuous improvement Will possess excellent communication, interpersonal and decision-making skills Wil possess excellent negotiation skills Will be fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to develop positive relationships and work with vendors and Keolis location staff to achieve continuous improvement with efficient, cost-effective solutions that achieve business objectives as well as benefit Keolis and customers. Ability to work with MS Office Suite and various fleet management software platforms Will have the ability to identify and solve problems in a structured and analytical way Key Accountabilities: Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage companywide warranty policies and procedures Responsible for properly handling all warranty claims including verification of serial numbers, part numbers, and warranty expiration dates. Gather all billing and start-up documents for units involved. Invoice all approved warranty claims. Analyze manufacture policy and rates to determine billable amounts. Handle and resolve all claim corrections and charge-backs Conduct weekly audits of warranty and schedules, reviewing all old claims, and address any adjustments or write-offs Data entry into internal system for all new claims. Oversee all warranty parts and parts returns. Establish and maintain relationships with the manufacturer's designated warranty representatives Provide a weekly report to the Director of Maintenance and/or the Leadership Team regarding program effectiveness and claims reimbursement. Assist with special projects, audits and reports as requested . Parts Support: Provides assistance to the Parts Department when the Parts Manager is out for an extended period of time. This role has limited parts-related responsibilities and will not be involved in daily Parts operations. Business Processes Assist in developing business policies and processes Provide efficiencies and processes training for best practices Drives continuous improvement in warranty management process Reporting Reports to the Director of Maintenance and communicates regularly with other staff and team members regarding warranty status and audit results Additional Statements: Drug and alcohol screening: Employment contingent upon passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
