SUMMARY In the past several years, retailers have begun to take advantage of state statutes that require Subaru to reimburse both labor and parts at individually-selected rates. Each request requires analysis of the retailer's actual customer pay rates by submitting a 100-repair order analysis; this analysis is extensive, tightly controlled by state statutes (30-day response time in most states), and has a direct impact on Subaru's claim costs. This job is responsible for all reimbursement activities to retailers. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains responsibility for reviewing and interpreting state franchise statutes for each state to ensure understanding and accuracy of analysis. Works with Legal department as needed for additional insight. Maintains responsibility for timely completion of all retailer part reimbursement analysis and retailer labor rate analysis as submissions arrive, and evaluating each retailer analysis to ensure that it meets individual state requirements. Proposes "reasonable" rates to retailers based on Subaru of America (SOA) analysis of other retailers in geographic area (subject to state statute). Prepares formal communication to retailers regarding results. Handles all initial inquiries and dispute requests. Provides direction to management as to "reasonableness" of rates and options within the particular statute and works with manager to handle any escalated cases. Reviews, approves, and processes monthly labor rate increase requests from established retailers. Maintains records in compliance with state and federal statutes. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provides management with monthly claim analysis and reporting. Updates claims system parts and labor rates. Performs special projects and assignments as business needs require.
