Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift to transport raw materials, WIP and finished goods between departments as necessary.
  • Change propane tanks for forklifts as needed per procedure.
  • Loads and unloads trucks and pulls orders for shipment.
  • Inspect condition and contents of trucks/trailers prior to loading.
  • Ensures tailgates are on truck with loads for customers requiring tailgates.
  • Receive and stage raw materials.
  • Assist with cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Weight WIP gaylords and scan to warehouse.
  • Weigh scrap gaylords and scan to appropriate location.
  • Operate scanning and bar-coding equipment to obtain traceability.
  • Deliver UPS and FedEx packages within the Plant.
  • Perform all activities safely.
  • Conduct safety inspections as required, such as forklifts, dock locks, chocks, etc.
