About The Position

The Warehouseperson is responsible for executing various tasks within the Warehouse Operations department, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. The role emphasizes safety, customer satisfaction, and adherence to quality standards while performing tasks according to established procedures and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • 0 - 3 years of experience in a warehousing or distribution environment, preferably automotive.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English effectively.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Good communication skills, including interpersonal, presentation, and written communication.
  • Computer savvy with skills in using software.
  • Ability to integrate people, processes, or systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Complete working knowledge of TekRF transactions.
  • General knowledge of warehousing, inventory, parts logistics, and distribution.
  • Knowledge of parts and parts identification.
  • Working knowledge of ET-2000.
  • Formal OSHA or WHMIS training.
  • Ability to operate hand-held technology devices.
  • Ability to navigate basic computer functions.
  • Ability to operate a variety of power equipment (tuggers, sit-down, stand-up, and stock pickers).
  • Ability to perform physical activity at a sustained pace, including walking, bending, climbing, and lifting 65 pounds or more consistently.
  • Ability to perform work on Order Picker at heights of up to 40 feet.
  • Pass in-house training program for powered material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Observe all safety rules including safe lifting techniques and proper equipment entry and exit techniques.
  • Receive and stock inbound orders manually and with material handling equipment.
  • Note the quantity and any discrepancies in quantities as well as record any damages.
  • Process required documents with accuracy within PDC safety and performance requirements.
  • Process inbound orders using RF technology and following PDC standard operating procedures.
  • Process outbound orders using manual techniques and material handling equipment, RF technology, and by following PDC standard operating procedures.
  • Verify inventory accuracy to ensure the right part and the right quantity.
  • Unload or load trailers, verify bills of lading, and check for transit damage.
  • Monitor and report equipment damages and operational issues to Team Leader.
  • Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of all areas of the RDC/PDC.
  • Train other associates and new hires when necessary.
  • Understand, test, and have operational knowledge of organizational compliance topics.
  • Observe all quality standards and follow standard operating procedures for assigned tasks.
  • Verify information printed on receiving and picking label fields on TekRF equipment and its relevance to the assigned task.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of each department's processes and procedures, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Process HazMat materials and other parts while following regulatory requirements.
  • Complete inbound and outbound orders within established goals and expectations.
  • Ensure quality of work performed is accurate, thorough, and neat.
  • Maintain assigned work area in an orderly and clean fashion.
