About The Position

The Warehouseperson II is responsible for performing the functions of a warehouse shipping and receiving lift operator. This includes picking and staging orders, unloading and receiving finished inventory from production facilities, and wrapping and loading outbound orders. Key duties involve checking equipment for safety, operating a forklift for inbound shipments, preparing products for receiving, moving products for replenishment, and picking products using paper orders. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company policies, and ensuring reliable and punctual attendance. The individual must follow all safety procedures, wear necessary PPE, attend safety meetings, and report safety issues. Teamwork, respect, accountability, and effective communication are essential. The Warehouseperson II is expected to follow department quality standards, raise concerns to management, understand and demonstrate Cambro's company culture and core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service), and contribute to departmental KPIs. Additional responsibilities include flexibility for cross-training in various warehouse functions and the ability to work overtime and adapt to schedule changes as business needs require.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent + 3 months’ experience in a warehouse distribution facility, or equivalent through one year work experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to count in all units of measure using whole numbers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 1+ year work experience in a warehouse distribution facility.
  • Certification on forklift, reach lift, order picker, clamp truck, and pallet jack.
  • Ability to work with computer applications in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work at heights as high as 30 feet.

Responsibilities

  • Checks equipment for potential safety hazards.
  • Offloads inbound shipments using a forklift.
  • Prepares product for receiving into appropriate locations.
  • Moves product between locations throughout the warehouse to support replenishment requirements.
  • Picks product from various locations in the warehouse.
  • Must be able to from using paper orders.
  • Maintains clean and organized workspace.
  • Adheres to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
  • Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.
  • Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
  • Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.
  • Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
  • Follow all department quality standards/criteria.
  • Raise concerns and issues to immediate manager.
  • Able to understand and demonstrate Cambro company culture, display company core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service).
  • Understands department’s key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.
  • Other duties as needed or required.
  • Have flexibility to be cross trained in multiple warehouse functions outside of core duties
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.
