About The Position

This position is responsible for receiving, storing and issuing parts, PO’s and other materials to internal and external customers while maintaining 100% accurate inventory. Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties. Verifies material received to determine physical variances in order; inspects articles and rejects defective ones. Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment. Sort cargo before loading and unloading. Stack cargo in locations such as transit sheds or in holds of ships as directed, using pallets or cargo boards. Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information. Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported. Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift cargo and guide loads. Update inventory locations in ERP system. Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager/Coordinator. Picks-up product by monitoring production; loading and moving product. Stores product by designating storage areas; adjusting storage areas according to production and shipping requirements; updating location database. Prepares product for shipment by verifying location; directing movement to staging area; resolving problems. Verifies product inventory reports by comparing logs and reports, adjusting entries. Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records; maintaining databases. Monitors inventory by completing counts as required. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Accomplishes distribution and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Makes transactions in SAP and other electronic media to maintain traceability and audit trail.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • 5 years of experience in warehouse operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Solid data entry and record keeping skills.
  • Experience with shipping procedures and vendor practices.
  • Forklift driver's license.
  • SAP knowledge.
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent customer service and multi-tasking skills.
  • High attention to detail.
