About The Position

The Warehouse Worker ensures complete and accurate processing of all incoming shipments, pick tickets and outbound customer loads. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and organization of the warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months continuous experience on Forklifts, Reach Trucks or Turret Trucks
  • Minimum of 12 months cumulative experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment
  • Experience in RF Scan Guns and Warehouse Management Computer Software
  • The ability to work independently and as part of the team
  • Organizational, planning, documentation, reporting and time management skills
  • Excellent attendance

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment, prioritizing safety at all times
  • Unload inbound product
  • Put product away in its assigned location in an organized manner
  • Replenish quick pick racks as emptied or assigned
  • Track bin locations of new product
  • Pick customer orders – full or partial pallets and/or cases - according to pick ticket specifications
  • Build pallets with mixed product
  • Shrink wrap pallets by hand or with machine
  • Pick individual pieces for client samples or direct ship to customer, package and label
  • Ensure customer specifications are met when picking and staging per picking folder
  • Ensure product and packaging is in good condition
  • Stage product in stop order in designated staging lane
  • Load product from staging area onto specified truck trailer
  • Record measurements and weights for LTL Shipments
  • Scan product in and out of inventory using RF scanners
  • Ensure product is in excellent shipping condition and in the proper stop order
  • Complete audit sheets when applicable
  • Work with site Customer Service Reps and/or Dispatcher to verify additional product that might be available
  • Complete all necessary BOL and internal paperwork
  • Complete spot checks and inventory counts
  • Consolidate product to create additional bin space
  • Investigates discrepancies in product, quantity, or labeling
  • Daily auditing of SKUs and quantities
  • Maintain corrugate variety and supply
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping bin locations, pallet area, and workstations neat and free of debris and trash
  • Maintaining clean shipping supply area
  • Remove and replace damaged pallets
  • Work independently or on a team to complete special projects for the site.
