About The Position
The Warehouse Worker at FedEx Supply Chain is a crucial role responsible for the accurate receiving, moving, storing, and shipping of products to meet the company's standards of safety, security, and productivity. This position plays a vital part in ensuring product safety, quality, and legality, which are essential for maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The Warehouse Worker will work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks that contribute to the overall success of the warehouse operations. In this role, the Warehouse Worker will be tasked with accurately selecting products according to customer order specifications. This includes loading and unloading products onto or from delivery vehicles and pallets, as well as pulling and preparing products for shipment. It is essential that the exact number and type of products are loaded and shipped to meet customer expectations. The position requires performing picking and packing duties efficiently, utilizing operation Radio Frequency (RF) terminals for various functions such as picking, quality checks, inventory management, and shipping. The Warehouse Worker will also be responsible for determining the appropriate destination of products by scanning packages, reading labels, and verifying numbers to sort packages accordingly. Maintaining the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion is also a key responsibility. The worker will keep appropriate records and reports to ensure inventory accuracy and participate in physical inventories and cycle counts. Checking or counting products for accuracy and damage is part of the job, as is becoming knowledgeable about the responsibilities and procedures of other areas of the warehouse. Safety is paramount in this role, and the Warehouse Worker must perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to company policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making flexibility and a strong sense of urgency important traits for success in this position.
