About The Position

The Warehouse Worker plays an important role in keeping daily warehouse operations running safely, accurately, and efficiently. This position supports shipping, receiving, inventory, and order fulfillment activities that ensure products move smoothly from the warehouse to customers and internal locations. Also commonly known as a Warehouse Associate, Material Handler, or Shipping & Receiving Associate, this role works hands-on with warehouse systems, equipment, and team members to maintain reliable operations. We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a team-first mindset, and the ability to work independently while contributing to overall warehouse success. This is a 2nd shift warehouse position supporting outbound shipments, inventory accuracy, and facility operations in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving environment
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also completing tasks independently
  • Experience picking, packing, and preparing outbound shipments
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment and forklifts
  • Basic computer skills and experience working with scanners or warehouse systems
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical warehouse work throughout the shift
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 56 lbs, occasionally lift 75+ lbs, and move materials as required
  • Ability to work 2nd shift schedule of: 3:30pm-12:15am Monday-Thursday, 2:30pm-10:00pm Friday

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification or prior experience operating multiple types of material handling equipment
  • Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or RF scanning technology
  • Background in high-volume distribution or order fulfillment operations
  • Experience supporting inventory control or cycle counting processes
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks while completing required shipping and receiving documentation accurately
  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment including LTL freight, small parcel, route deliveries, and customer pick-ups
  • Execute warehouse put-away processes to ensure accurate product storage and inventory location management
  • Print and manage pick lists, transfer orders, and shipping paperwork using warehouse computer systems
  • Perform ship confirmations and verify outbound orders for accuracy prior to shipment
  • Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and inventory verification
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts, order pickers, turret trucks, deep reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts, and pallet jacks
  • Use wireless warehouse management system (WMS) scanners and shipping equipment to track inventory movement
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment through routine housekeeping activities
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping goals while managing assigned tasks independently
  • Follow established safety procedures while working around moving equipment and warehouse operations
