About The Position

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for managing the daily operations of a mid-size flooring warehouse. This role involves picking and staging daily jobs, preparing materials, accepting and properly storing inventory, and labeling. The worker ensures all work orders, status updates, shipping/receiving confirmations, and material returns are accurately entered into the company inventory system. Key responsibilities also include monitoring inventory for accuracy, processing freight trucks, conducting monthly inventory counts, identifying discrepancies, and reconciling differences. Additionally, the position requires organizing and maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse and facility, as well as the responsible outside area, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience must involve warehouse operations.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, shipping documents, and material instructions.
  • Ability to write correspondence and prepare other documents as needed.
  • Proofreads work.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure for basic algebraic and geometric calculations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
  • Experience with various computer applications to include: database, spreadsheet, email, and word processing software.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in English.
  • Ability to view documents, multiple screens, and read handwritten documents.
  • Must be able to see near visually.
  • Ability to drive and maintain a driver’s license with personal car insurance.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs.

Responsibilities
