Warehouse Worker
About The Position
The Warehouse Worker in Chatham is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all products that are received and/or shipped out of a specific location during the assigned shift. During their shift, the Warehouse Worker will assist with three main functions of the department: receiving, inventory control and cooler operations and shipping. They will work to company guidelines with respect to quality control, safety, and standard operating procedures to execute an accurate and on-time shipping and receiving function under the direction of the location Manager. This position reports to the location Manager in Chatham.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the flow of goods; shipping and receiving of product
- Obtain and process product orders (shellfish mostly)
- Receive, register and distribute product received by the warehouse
- Maintain the company stockroom/cooler through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items
- Assist with the logistic planning of product to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items
- Record keeping of goods shipped and received
- Ensure that the right products are delivered to that right location, on time
- Assist with local pick-up and delivery of products
- Assist with the assurance that quality, quantity, and customer satisfaction are met
- Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of coolers and warehouse orders
- Tracking and reporting to leadership: back-orders short-list items, and unfulfilled orders
