About The Position

Warehouse workers are responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, retrieving stock, delivering stock to and from other locations and vendors, cycle counts, and general housekeeping of warehouses. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employees may perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the company and its customers. Requirements

  • Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Basic math and recording abilities
  • Works well as an individual and as a team
  • Good attendance and positive attitude
  • Works well in fast-paced environment
  • Some heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Drivers license required

Responsibilities

  • Pulls warehouse items from shelves, bins and carts based on requirements.
  • Responsible for replenishing inventory.
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high.
  • Attention to detail when picking or replenishing stock to ensure part numbers and quantities are correct.
  • Operates warehouse handling equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed.
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Report any discrepancies.
  • Keeping warehouse clean and organized.
  • Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
  • Unload packages from incoming trucks.
  • Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
  • Verify packages according to order (quantity, quality, etc.).
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
  • May be responsible for deliveries by driving truck to and from vendors and other STI locations.
