About The Position

This position involves daily warehouse operations including loading and unloading delivery trucks, verifying incoming products by counting, sorting, or weighing, and storing items according to identifying information. The role requires understanding and utilizing company-specific computer systems and software to manage workflow. The worker will efficiently read customer pick sheets to accurately gather, palletize, and distribute items, while striving to meet case picks per hour and accuracy goals. Responsibilities also include examining stock for quality, maintaining neat and organized locations with proper product rotation, carefully filling orders, and safely assembling customer orders on pallets for delivery. Accurate documentation of received, distributed, or damaged products is essential. The employee will also assist in cleaning warehouse areas at the end of each shift and participate in inventory cycles. Training and certification for the proper and safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks will be provided.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have or acquire forklift certification.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.

  • Working knowledge of warehousing, forklift and pallet jack operations, pallet building, and inventory procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Daily loads or unloads delivery trucks.
  • Count, sort, or weigh incoming product to verify receipt of items.
  • Store product in bins, racks, on floor, or on shelves according to identifying information such as style, size, brand, or type of material.
  • Understands and utilizes company specific computer systems and software to direct and control workflow.
  • Reads and efficiently works the customers pick sheets to accurately determine items to be gathered, palletize, and distributed.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain case picks per hour and accuracy goals as assigned.
  • Examine stock to verify conformance to quality specifications and takes pride in products being distributed.
  • Keeps all locations neat, organized, and straightened, while maintaining the rotation of product to ensure freshness.
  • Fills orders or issues supplies from stock with care, concern, and diligence.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and builds orders on pallets, effectively and safely for successful delivery.
  • Accurately documents the amount of products or items received or distributed, or set aside due to damage or “out-of-date”.
  • Helps to clean up all warehouse areas worked during shift by sweeping, discarding of trash, and empty boxes prior to end of shift.
  • Participates in weekly, monthly, or annual inventory cycles to count appropriate SKU’s.
  • Participates and receives training certificate for proper and safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks.

Benefits

  • Pay range $20.00 - $24.00 per hour Depending on Experience.
  • Plus additional $.75/hour night shift premium.
  • $500 Signing Bonus (Paid at 60 days of employment).
  • $500 retention bonuses paid at 6-month and 12-month marks of employment.
  • Monday - Thursday evenings 4-10 schedule beginning at 2:30pm
