About The Position
Since 1918 Schimberg Co. has served as a family-owned pipe, valve, and fitting supplier. With seven locations across the Midwest, we serve a diverse list of industrial and commercial customers. We are adding a warehouse worker to our Des Moines location. Learn the pipe, valve, and fitting distribution industry with opportunities to cross train and build a rewarding career with us. This is a full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday. Start time between 7am-8am, with overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 50lbs regularly, up to 100lbs occasionally.
- You'll be on your feet, walking, climbing ladders, lifting and moving material by hand or forklift throughout the day.
- Warehouse workers are required to complete pre-employment drug screen as condition of hire.
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload materials by hand or forklift
- Stock material into inventory
- Pull and stage orders for delivery
- Load and secure flatbed trailers for delivery
- Assist walk-in customers at our counter
