  • Proficiency in electronically scanning products using a warehouse management system
  • Ability to perform quality control
  • Ability to ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received
  • Ability to complete daily logs
  • Ability to communicate with associates from other shifts
  • Ability to attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information
  • Ability to read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
  • Ability to record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
  • Ability to assemble product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumber
  • Ability to pack containers and re-pack damaged containers
  • Ability to read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Ability to fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line
  • Ability to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station or shipping department
  • Ability to weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
  • Ability to use computer to enter records
  • Ability to prepare parcels for mailing
  • Ability to maintain inventory records
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)
  • Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment (where applicable)

Responsibilities
