The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves verifying materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations, storing, stacking, or palletizing materials, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, and preparing materials for shipment. The position may involve operating hand or power trucks. Excluded are workers whose primary duties involve shipping and receiving work, order filling, or operating forklifts.
