About The Position
The Warehouse Worker position at Whitsons Culinary Group is a critical role responsible for managing warehouse inventory and fulfilling orders in a dynamic environment that includes extreme temperatures, both cold and warm. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure that all deliveries are received accurately, with a focus on maintaining inventory levels and adhering to FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation practices. The worker will be tasked with receiving and signing for deliveries, ensuring that the counts match the receiving paperwork, and documenting any discrepancies or damages that may occur during the delivery process. In addition to receiving supplies, the Warehouse Worker will deliver requested items to various internal departments, ensuring that requisitions are reviewed for proper codes and approval signatures. The role also involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area, checking stock for outdated or damaged supplies, and ensuring that all pertinent paperwork is completed accurately and submitted daily. The position may require the worker to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, and to stand for the majority of the workday, which includes walking back and forth within the warehouse. The work environment is primarily a manufacturing and warehouse setting, where the employee will be exposed to both hot and cold temperatures due to cooking and refrigeration equipment. The noise level in the warehouse can range from moderate to loud, and the position may require extended hours, including evenings and weekends. This role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of the warehouse and ensuring that all inventory processes are executed smoothly and effectively.
