About The Position
This position is responsible for accurately selecting customer orders from designated bin locations and loading them onto trailers in a high-volume and fast-paced distribution environment. The role is a full-time, long-term opportunity requiring 40 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of overtime. The Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator will be expected to transfer materials and items from the receiving dock to designated areas using hand trucks, forklifts, or other industrial powered trucks. Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to a predetermined sequence is also a key responsibility. In addition, the employee will assemble customer orders from stock and manifest orders on pallets for shipment or will call trailers. They will prepare customer orders using the internal inventory system and maintain inventory control and procedures. The role also involves assisting warehouse co-workers in completing tasks as requested by the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in adherence to the company handbook. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and will be provided with on-the-job training and hands-on forklift training.
