About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Material Handler in Hutchins, Texas. Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly. Hourly Pay is $21.50 per hour with an additional pay of $1.75 per hour. The schedule is First Shift: Friday-Sunday 5:00 am - 5:30 pm, transitioning to third shift effective 1/20, with every other Thursday 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM and Friday - Sunday 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM, which includes a $2.00/hour shift premium. Ryder offers a safe supply chain environment with state-of-the-art equipment, handling household goods using stand-up and sit-down forklifts and electric pallet jacks. A minimum of 1 year of recent stand-up forklift experience is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work using health and safety methods.
• Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on various work shifts.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
