About The Position
The Warehouse Utility position at Coca-Cola UNITED is a vital role within the Macon Distribution Warehouse, specifically designed to ensure the efficient repackaging of products that have suffered damage during trade or warehouse handling. This position is not only about repacking but also involves maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, which is crucial for operational efficiency and safety. The Warehouse Utility will be responsible for identifying products that are still in sellable condition and ensuring they are included in the repack process. This includes adhering to strict guidelines regarding date coding, cleaning, taping, gluing, and testing the integrity of packages. The role requires a proactive approach to account for and report products that need to be destroyed, as well as those that can be recycled, thus contributing to the company's sustainability efforts. In this fast-paced environment, the Warehouse Utility will operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely and efficiently. Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized work area is essential, as is the ability to follow both written and oral instructions from management. The position also involves loading miscellaneous items, stacking pallets, and performing various duties as assigned by supervisors. Regular and prompt attendance is crucial, as is the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, when required.
