About The Position

The position involves assisting or performing various roles in the warehouse, including forklift operation, material handling, and clerical duties. The employee will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly facility, which includes shipping, warehouse, and outside grounds. The role requires support for the shift supervisor and/or lead in areas such as shipping, loading, receiving, warehouse storage, product rotation, inventory accuracy, productivity, quality, and safety. Daily tasks include unloading inbound shipments, loading Direct Store Delivery trucks, building pallets, reworking damaged products, sorting and replenishing products, and performing general housekeeping duties. The employee is expected to operate efficiently to increase productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum age 18 years old
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
• Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
• Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and teamwork
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required

Responsibilities

• Assist or perform Material Handler, Forklift operator, Clerk, building & grounds duties
• Support warehouse lead duties, release shipments, dock coordinator and check loaded pallets
• Support inventory and warehouse clerk duties, inventory count reconciliation, process shipments and create Purchase Orders /Stock Transfer Order
• Unload inbound shipments, load Direct Store Delivery trucks and put away and replenishment of product
• Build pallets via paper order or Voice pick
• Rework damaged product in warehouse
• Sort product and replenish flow racks
• Restack fallen product
• Straighten and sort pallets and shells
• Perform general housekeeping duties
• Operate efficiently to increase productivity while maintaining an excellent level of safety and quality in the workplace
• Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
