Our Johns Manville plant in Jacksonville, FL manufactures polyisocyanurate foam insulation panels for use in roofing systems. We produce foam panels as well as specialty items such as tapered, vented, composite, nail board and sheathing products.

Requirements

HS Diploma or GED
Have general math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages).
Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft office).
Solid Communication Skills (written/verbal).
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional team player.
The ability to stand for extended periods
The ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.
Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling)
The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment
The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).
The ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12(or 8)-hour rotating shift schedule.
The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.
The ability to reach or work above the shoulder
Incumbents must be physically able to perform essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

SAP knowledge - receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products as needed.
Understands production flows/schedules, customer demand/sales volume flows, supply and demand concepts to determine stocked items to be managed.
Self-starter – work with minimal supervision
Adhere to all plant safety and environmental policies.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Receive and unload raw materials as needed
Unload chemicals from railcars and tanker trucks.
Verify paperwork and COA prior to receiving raw materials.
Follow working standards and ensure accuracy of the unloading process.
Operate forklift to unload and transport raw & pack
Receive raw materials into SAP and properly account for the paperwork.
Verify bill of lading / picklist against actual quantity received.
Conduct regularly scheduled cycle counts and identify root causes of any inventory variances. Including month end raw & pack counts
Inspect mobile equipment and complete the appropriate safety checklist
Assist production team with raw materials movement and staging
Communicate inventory status and support the process to replenish raw materials with service coordinator
Coordinate switches with the railroad to ensure proper placement of the railcars.
Manages the unloading of railcars to avoid/minimize demurrage charges and accidental release.
Support the reporting and corrective actions associated with supplier quality issues.
Manage collection and return of plant recyclable streams.
