Requirements

  • High School graduate or G.E.D. required.
  • Ability to understand, read, speak and write English to the level normally acquired by completing the 12th grade.
  • Must be able to perform mathematical calculations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Two years verifiable driving experience on a non CDL straight truck preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required with no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years.
  • Hazmat and Forklift Training required.
  • Must successfully complete an online hazmat and forklift training within 30 days from hire date with a minimum score of 80% and every 3 years after.
  • Must be able to lift and stack up to 75 pound cases.
  • Requires walking, standing, lifting, stooping or bending 100% of the time.
  • Some computer experience preferred.
  • Must meet qualifications requirements of the Department of Transportation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must pass specified written test, past specified road test, drug test and MVR.
  • Must convey a professional image at all times.
  • Must be able to pass a D.O.T. physical and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Stocks new inventory from the receiving area to the primary area according to the priority set by the inventory coordinator.
  • Restocks and rotates new and overflow inventory to the A, B & C level sections.
  • Tags all overflow inventories with the proper ID label.
  • Fills customer orders according to the priority set up by the warehouse supervisor.
  • Stacks, repacks and wraps orders for transportation to the customer facility.
  • Operates high lifts and powered pallet jacks within the warehouse area.
  • Practices good safety habits in and around the warehouse.
  • Assists in keeping the areas in and around the warehouse clean and orderly.
  • Must be able to pass DOT job specific hazmat training within 30 days of hire date.
  • Must be able to pass online forklift training within 30 days.
  • Drives truck between Shared Service Systems and participating institutions, loading and unloading truck using manual and electric lifts.
  • Maintains daily log, condition report and trip record.
  • Cleans and disinfects inside of truck box after unloading soiled linen.
  • Notifies Transportation Supervisor of goods damaged during shipment and any foreseeable truck repairs.
  • Maintains good customer relationships and interfaces with other departments.
