Warehouse Truck Driver
About The Position
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Drive a company truck to transport goods from Alameda plant to Retail stores and pick up special donations at residences and commercial businesses. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Maintain general knowledge of city streets and local area. 2. Safely drive a box truck, or larger to transport goods from warehouse to retail stores. 3. Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. 4. Must work well with retail store management and employees. 5. Regularly read and route a map for deliveries and pick-ups. 6. Knowledge and daily use of bill of lading procedures. 7. Inspect trucks, and fill truck inspection forms daily. 8. Responsible for loading and unloading large and small truckloads. 9. Must work safely, observing all safety procedures and use necessary equipment in a safe manner. 10. Must report all safety related incidents/accidents to the Manager or the Safety Representative in a timely manner. 11. Assist in other areas as requested.
Requirements
- One to two years’ experience driving a truck of three tons or less capacity.
- Previous position that has demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to the operation of an oversized truck.
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License; and auto insurance required.
- Must pass Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
Nice To Haves
- CDL preferred but not required.
