About The Position

The Forklift Operator - Stocking is an hourly position, reporting to the Controller/Warehouse Leader. The Forklift Operator - Stocking is primarily responsible and accountable for stocking all finished good material from production into the appropriate area in the warehouse.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be a US citizen or have the right to work in the US.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be drug and alcohol free.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must be able to bend, lift up to 50lbs, kneel, stoop, stand, drive in a tow motor for 12+/hrs per day.
  • Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Must work well in team environment.
  • Must be able to secure and maintain Powered Industrial Vehicle Certification.
  • Must have the ability to do basic mathematical calculations.
  • Must be able to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Related experience and/or training in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Consistent management of the transition building to ensure that all finished good material is moved to appropriate stocking bays by end of shift.
  • Work diligently to consistently open/reorganize/consolidate bays as appropriate with changeover schedule impact as a priority.
  • Comply with inventory management, including but not limited to individual pallet tracking, cycle counts, rework, and customer returns.
  • Work with other departments involved in activities relating to customer returns, product integrity, and production of finished goods.
  • Utilize RF terminal to properly scan appropriate product to staging location and electronically record movement of inventory to order from warehouse information system.
  • Perform job tasks in a manner to reduce adverse impact to the environment and adhere to environmental regulations and recycling procedures for waste disposal and all chemical usage and waste.
  • Identify quality and/or damage concerns and take proper actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform cleanup duties including, but not limited to workstations, transition building, and longboard area.
  • Participate in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant.
  • Comply with all plant rules, safety regulations, and JHA requirements.
