About The Position

Emerson has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Technician to join our team in Houston, TX! In this role, you will participate in a wide variety of responsibilities to include the support of inventory needs, receive and review incoming and outgoing shipments and work with customers, carriers and others as needed. As a Warehouse Technician, you will take primary ownership of SS Tag production portion of the Warehouse Department!

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED).
  • Twelve (12) months receiving, shipping or stores experience
  • Communication skills via e-mail or phone to direct customers, both internal and external are required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ERP Business System Experience
  • Basic electrical knowledge i.e., should be able to read AC & DC Voltage, resistance, 4-20mA
  • Legal authorization to work in the united states - sponsorship will not be provided

Responsibilities

  • Make Stainless Steel tags on a weekly basis via a Trumark laser machine.
  • Write procedures, updates when needed for the company with the help of the Warehouse Manager.
  • Reviews receiving shipment for obvious damage upon receipt and verifies material received is material ordered.
  • Delivers all materials to appropriate warehouse shelf. Moves inventory to designated location. Receives and distributes all non-inventory items. Assists with bi-annual inventory count.
  • Contacts freight carriers and performs daily maintenance.
  • Ensures all US and foreign country requirements are met on all import shipments.
  • Properly ship all products, supplier/customer returns or other material releases. Ensures all US and foreign country requirements are met on all import and export shipments.
  • Inputs receiving/shipping data into business system and monitors material overages, shortages through deviation reports.
  • Perform tasks such as failure analysis and simple to moderate assembly and calibrations.
  • Assists with phone and support to customers.
  • Follow and assure safety guidelines are being met and report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervision.
