About The Position

This position will be responsible for implementing direction and/or instructions provided by the Warehouse Manager. In this role, will also supervise the daily activities of assigned Warehouse Assistants, and will ensure that all procedures are followed according to company policies and practices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the loading of outbound deliveries, and assist with loading trucks, as time permits.
• Check outbound product quality and review any issues with the Operations Manager prior to dispatch.
• Follow up on product quality as directed by the Manager, and adjust conditions as directed.
• Supervise the unloading of inbound product to ensure proper quality and accurate counts.
• Ensure that the warehouse is maintained at all times, and that the cooling equipment is in proper working condition.
• Discuss any personnel issues with the Operations Manager to determine appropriate resolutions.
• Assist in ripening product as needed.
• Special tasks as assigned.
