About The Position

Fitesa is a global leader in nonwoven fabric solutions, specializing in providing innovative fabrics to the hygiene, medical, and industrial markets. Our North American headquarters in Simpsonville, SC has an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Technician to join our rapidly growing team. Our Warehouse Technicians provide support to the Simpsonville shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations by unloading and storing raw materials; handling and staging finished goods and handling packaging materials, additionally performing correct handling and storing of downgraded materials.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Ability to use a calculator.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient with FIRM, DYNAMICS, ADP, and other internal database and tracking software.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and good mechanical abilities are preferred.
  • Ability to apply basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to read and interpret measurement from a ruler, tape measure, or other measuring device in standard and metric systems.
  • Familiarity with RF Scanner.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment preferably of a large size, high speed nature.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, conflict-resolution, and decision making skills.
  • Willingness and ability to train, motivate, and coach other team members.
  • Able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Familiar with air and water pollution control technology and federal, state and community regulatory agency workings.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and perform in other functions in the plant.
  • Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours including rotating shifts as needed.
  • Possess communication skills to relate effectively with people of diverse background.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure items received are in good order and correct.
  • Interface with operations and Group Logistics Leader.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and problem solving.
  • Complete lift truck inspections.
  • Ensure all packaging meets the quality standard and repair as needed.
  • Deliver materials to the production lines.
  • Empty all conveyors and accurately scan material in locations.
  • Follow MSDS procedures on chemicals received.
  • Operate the FIRM and DYNAMICS shipping systems.
  • Process all shipping documentation.
  • Inspect, stage, scan, and load outbound finished product shipments.
  • Ensure zero shipping errors.
  • Ensure FIFO is being followed when inspecting and staging product for shipment.
  • Complete trailer inspections and ensure trailer meets Fitesa guidelines.
  • Keep warehouse neat and clean, all tools and equipment in their proper place.
  • Relocate any packages to the proper locations as needed.
  • Must be safety conscious and follow company safety procedures.
