About The Position

The Warehouse Technician II - Shipping Center is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products through effective inventory management and shipping processes. This role involves receiving, preparing, packaging, and managing inventory, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The technician collaborates with customer service and quality assurance teams to address shipping-related issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to successfully complete a drug and background check.
  • Ability to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs. throughout each shift.
  • 3-4 years of experience in distribution, warehousing, shipping, receiving, logistics, material handling, customer service, or inventory control.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Knowledge of discrete batch manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

  • UPS WorldShip experience preferred.
  • Experience with AS400 and INFOR or other ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Follows established inventory re-order levels and restocks shelves with correctly labeled items.
  • Verifies bill of lading and packing slips for accuracy, ensuring timeliness and compliance with procedures.
  • Checks for and replaces unusable, damaged, or expired inventory according to departmental policy.
  • Participates in physical inventories and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory control.
  • Maintains technical competencies of the Inventory Management system as software is upgraded or replaced.
  • Provides shipment statuses and supports inventory transfers and expedited requests.
  • Unloads trucks and manages recycling materials safely and efficiently.
  • Receives and organizes materials in designated locations to support warehouse flow using electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Completes required paperwork and ERP system transactions accurately.
  • Picks and packages products for direct shipment to customers, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Manages inventory of released products and packaging materials for efficient order processing.
  • Utilizes carrier shipping software to create labels, track packages, and schedule pickups.
  • Inspects outgoing shipments for accuracy and proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
  • Communicates with customer service and carrier representatives to resolve shipping-related issues.
  • Collaborates with quality assurance to address shipping-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize shipping processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Rotates stock according to the First-expired First-out (FEFO) procedure.
  • Moves materials between warehouse locations based on inventory status and production requirements.
