The Warehouse Technician at Sherwin-Williams is responsible for coordinating and engaging with various production staff to ensure the smooth operation of the production line. This role involves managing warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and organization, while also ensuring the accurate offloading of bulk raw materials. The position operates on a day shift schedule with a rotating 12-hour work pattern.

  • Maintain operation of palletizer, including loading empty pallets, removing jams, and keeping the area supplied with pallets.
  • Remove finished goods stock from palletizer, properly wrapped and labeled, and place in designated staging areas.
  • Keep proper packaging materials supplied to filling lines and ensure items not in use are neatly stacked and wrapped.
  • Clear shrink-wrap lines, especially in the infeed area, and ensure all pallets are neatly arranged and sorted based on stability.
  • Stage packaging materials to all lines and verify accuracy of stock counts on materials loaded and unloaded from trailers.
  • Understand proper storage of raw materials and finished goods, and sort and load scrap pallets and returnable drums.
  • Re-package customer returned materials and keep the area clean and orderly.
  • Monitor all robot functions and assist with mechanical issues as needed.
  • Organize the raw material area and ensure cleanliness of containment areas during off-loading of bulk materials.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment.
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating machinery in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers, or labelers.
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience monitoring the quality of raw materials and/or finished goods.
