About The Position
The Warehouse Tech position involves the operation of various machines, including six-ton or ten-ton overhead cranes and finning machines. Key responsibilities include loading and unloading materials onto/off of machines and semi-trailers, bending or finning tubing, and ensuring the quality of tubes prior to shipment. The role also requires ensuring equipment is in safe operating condition, reviewing computerized work lists, locating materials, prioritizing orders, and communicating with other operators to establish material run orders. Daily operational and safety checklists must be completed, and the tech will perform necessary set-ups during shifts. There may be a requirement to fill in for other positions as needed. Responsibilities
- Operation of a variety of machines ranging from a six-ton or ten-ton overhead crane to a finning machine
- Loading/unloading materials onto/off of machines and semi-trailers
- Bending or finning tubing
- Ensuring quality of tubes being shipped out
- Ensure that the equipment is in a safe operating condition
- Reviews the computerized work list for the equipment, locate the available material and prioritizes the orders to be processed
- Communicates with the other operators to formulate the run order of material
- Loads/unloads various machines to include conveyors
- Completed daily Operational and Safety Checklists
- Performs any necessary set-up during shift
- May be required to “fill-in” for other positions when there is a need
- Performs other duties as assigned
