About The Position

This role is for a Warehouse Teammate who is safety and service-oriented, possesses attention to detail, and thrives on providing an excellent customer experience. The position involves counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material, as well as stocking, maintaining, picking, documenting, and packing customer orders. The Teammate will handle shipping discrepancies, identify and store various types of material, complete documentation for shipments, and safely operate warehouse equipment. Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety, assisting co-workers, and adhering to company safety standards are also key aspects of the role. The Teammate will also complete required safety and compliance training and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
Possess a proper and valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

Be responsible for counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
Stock and maintain the warehouse; and pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
Act with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Handle all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle.
Identify nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and store in proper warehouse locations.
Complete necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
Load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
Inform immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels.
Ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Remove empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris. Inform immediate supervisor of safety issues.
Assist co-workers in servicing customers.
Perform all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
