About The Position

Join our Warehouse team as a Warehouse Teammate/Delivery Driver, where you will be responsible for ensuring an excellent customer experience through accurate order fulfillment and safe delivery practices. This role combines warehouse responsibilities with driving duties, requiring attention to detail and a commitment to safety and service.

Requirements

  • Be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.
  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Possess a proper and valid driver's license.
  • Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.
  • Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and again at least every two years while employed.

Responsibilities

  • Count, verify, and receive incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
  • Stock and maintain the warehouse, and pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Act with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Handle all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle.
  • Identify nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and store in proper warehouse locations.
  • Complete necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
  • Load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Inform immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels.
  • Ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Remove empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris. Inform immediate supervisor of safety issues.
  • Assist co-workers in servicing customers.
  • Perform all job functions in accordance with the company's Safety Standards.
  • Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
  • Operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations.
  • Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise to be delivered.
  • Understand the shipping documents associated with the merchandise for each delivery.
  • Review shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy.
  • Unload correct merchandise from the truck and place it where the receiving party wants it.
  • Collect and secure outstanding payments for all cash sale deliveries prior to releasing the material to the customer.
  • Work with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
  • Load the truck at other locations with merchandise.
  • Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses discovered in the course of making deliveries.
  • Inspect the truck and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to departure.
  • Advise management of any mechanical problems with the truck.
  • Complete the Driver's Daily Vehicle Inspection Report when driving a delivery vehicle with a gross vehicle weight (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs. or more if a defect or deficiency is found.
  • At the end of the workday, remove keys from the truck and store keys in the approved location.
