About The Position

The Warehouse Team Member at Silver Spring Foods is responsible for facilitating warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, rotation, and storage of finished goods, product ingredients, and product components. This role requires knowledge of production, shipping, and receiving orders. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
  • 1-2 years of warehouse experience and general knowledge of warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of proper rotation techniques of perishable food items.
  • Ability to operate a forklift or other necessary equipment to facilitate shipping, and storage duties.
  • Ability to accurately count inventory items.
  • Recognize safe working habits.
  • Work effectively with others in the organization.
  • Good computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of previous warehouse experience.
  • Previous forklift certification.
  • Bar coding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, rotation, and storage of finished goods, product ingredients, and product components.
  • Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, moving materials, products and supplies efficiently where they need to go, when they need to be moved.
  • Keep a clean and safe work area.
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment, exercising good judgement to prioritize work and information flow without compromising safety and quality standards.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and consideration towards fellow employees.
  • Cooperate and communicate well with co-workers and strive to promote positive teamwork and build team spirit.
