About The Position

Loading & Unloading: Assist supervisor or manager with any warehouse needs. Ensure that equipment is always clean and operable. Follow directions on proper loading and unloading techniques. Always operate forklifts with care and safety both inside and outside the warehouse. Ask supervisor questions when in doubt about any procedures assigned. Be trained to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Perform all tasks assigned promptly. Inspect any incoming items. Make sure that trailers are clean before loading. Always have the manager or supervisor do a final inspection of all loaded trailers. Keep aisles clear, and always put leftover products back in their proper place. Quality: Strictly follow all procedures: Safety Cleanliness Properly stacking pallets on top of other pallets Practice FIFO (first in, first out) system Maintain the warehouse clean and avoid damaging products as much as possible. Etc. Visually inspect incoming food products for potential problems. Wear hair nets and bump hats at all times when inside the production rooms. Keep pockets empty of items that could fall into the product. Record any findings of contamination or infestation on any and report it to the manager or supervisor immediately. Ensure that all loaded and unloaded products are of the best possible quality. Notify the supervisor or manager of any quality problems or concerns. Keep good personal hygiene habits. General Sanitation and Maintenance: Cleanliness of warehouse, clean spills or tears as soon as they happen. Empty trash as needed and maintain a clean and sanitary warehouse. Keep samples of any unusual findings Maintain equipment by completing repair order forms. Complete and maintain all required inspection forms. Be neatly organized with all forms and paperwork. Keep the assigned area clean and sanitized. Other Operations: Assist in other Production areas as needed. Follow all Company Safety Regulations as found in the Safety Handbook. Follow all rules and regulations implemented by the Company. Forklift operators must be certified to operate a forklift. Perform any other jobs or duties the manager/supervisor assign. Adheres to all safety guidelines, including Standards of performance (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP). Communicates regularly with the Division Manager.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Relevant safety policies, practices, and procedures
  • Storage and shipment of food products.
  • Food and material handling
  • Inventory control concepts and techniques
  • Barcoding and Company computer systems
  • Warehouse racking systems/processes
  • Supervisory concepts and techniques
  • Relevant regulatory procedures and standards (OSHA, USDA, AIB, HAACP, etc.
  • Interpret warehouse operations anomalies and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer service
  • Since all equipment documents and manuals are written in English, they must have the ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Works efficiently and manages time effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a food-packaging environment is preferred.
