About The Position

Kimberton Whole Foods is hiring a full-time Warehouse Team Member to work at our Distribution Center! ~ Kimberton Whole Foods is a family-owned and operated grocery store that has been providing the community with locally sourced, natural, and organic products for over thirty years ~ The Warehouse Team Member supports the daily operations of our Distribution Center facility. The Warehouse Team Member supports our store operations, team members, vendors, and retail customers in a positive and authentic manner. Experience driving a 26' straight truck with a lift gate a plus!

Requirements

  • Experience working with pallet jacks and lifts, both manual and electric/motorized.
  • Experience/familiarization with handheld mobile scanning devices.
  • Strong math ability and product recognition ability.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Able to work well with others, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to stand, walk at least 10 hours; and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, climb, bend and reach.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., occasionally lift up to 70 lbs., and team lift weights in excess of 70 lbs.
  • Work in a temperature environment ranging from -10o (freezer) to 34o (cooler) to 90o (ambient summer) Fahrenheit.
  • Hand/Finger dexterity: single unit grasping, case pack grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
  • Ability to safely use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks/lifts, handheld scanners, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Manually selecting and stacking product onto pallets, wrapping, and preparing product for shipment.
  • Put away inbound shipments utilizing lifts, ladders, and pallet jacks.
  • Loading and unloading varying size vehicles ranging from commercial tractor trailers to personal cars.
  • Utilize communication tools and organize pallets effectively for accurate shipment.
  • Accurately check in/out items from deliveries/shipments against accompanying paperwork.
  • Awareness to and rotating date sensitive inventory, ensuring oldest dates ship out first.
  • Operating manual and electric/motorized pallet jacks and lift trucks.
  • Assist in cleaning the distribution center, maintaining a safe working environment
  • Comply with all applicable health and safety codes and maintain employee safety and security standards
  • Process, prepare, package, and label store bulk orders
  • Perform repetitious work, and maintain quality and consistency throughout repetitious packaging
