This position is responsible for leading a team of employees in the distribution center. Communicates company goals, safety practices and deadlines to the team. Motivates team members and assesses performance. Provides assistance to management including hiring and training and keeps management updated on team performance. Communicates concerns and policies among management and team members.

Requirements

• Forklift/Order picker licensed.

Responsibilities

• Supports team supervisor and performs supervisory duties when manager is absent.
• Provides encouragement to team members, including communication of team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks.
• Assists management with the hiring process and new team member training.
• Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and compliance.
• Develops strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals.
• Generates, communicates and implements continuous improvement ideas.
• Provides quality customer service, including interacting with the customers, answering customer enquiries and effectively solving customer issues.
• Capable of performing all job junctions in the designated area of responsibility.
• All other duties and responsibilities reasonably assigned by the supervisor and his/her designee
