Join the Food Manufacturing Industry in a Manufacturing, Production, Warehouse, Factory type role! This position will operate in our cold storage warehouse. Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes potential overtime, weekends and different work schedules
Nice To Haves
- Six months material handling equipment/forklift experience preferred
- Experience in leading, supervising and training associates preferred
- Experience using warehouse management and inventory systems preferred
- Experience with the refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with computers and Microsoft Office preferred
- Experience following safety procedures preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate and prioritize the operations tasks directed by the supervisor
- Potentially operate PITs including a pallet jack and forklift
- Communicate and execute work assignments to meet set expectations by department and customer requirements
- Communicate with and perform as an assistant for all staff and departments such as the supervisors, support staff, leadership, and front-line employees
- Communicate with customers and their needs
- Prepare duty-related paperwork
- Escalate work-related and interpersonal issues to leadership as needed
- Perform quality checks and report failures to supervisor.
- Assist and coordinate training for new and current associates
- Supervise employees to ensure they are following Safety and Quality processes and regulations
- Be a resource for Safety, QA and Company processes and procedures
- Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Excellent attendance and punctuality for an hourly role
- Handle any minor tasks related to duties of the position
