The Inbound Team Lead contributes to meeting Langham goals of exceptional customer service, quality, process improvement, and profitability by ensuring that all inbound associates unload shipments from the client coming into the warehouse without damage; accurately checked, recorded, and entered into the database; and put away into the correct location. The Lead is a direct link between the associates and the supervisor, distributing daily work orders, ensuring orders are correctly completed and recorded, and ensuring that shipments get out according to schedule. The Lead ensures productivity and quality goals are met on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis; maximizing productivity and efficiency through the use of RF guns and cross training. This position will assist/lead training new starts within their department and cross train veterans in other functions; and is charged with planning for adequate manpower to meet daily schedules and appropriately matching associate skills with duties of the job. The Lead delegates investigation of problems such as receiving and put away errors, initiate collaboration with client’s IT team for uncontrollable scenarios, and communicate across departments to reach resolution. The Lead also ensures that all work is done according to safety and security guidelines, with particular attention to guidelines regarding hazardous materials and those mandated by the Department of Homeland Security.
