Position Summary: This is a functional role that provides guidance, work levelling, assistance, and leadership to a team of Material Handlers and Drivers at the Rogers, MN Distribution Center (DC/Warehouse). To assure team continuity across all warehouse operations, this position is expected to gain and maintain knowledge of all aspects of Warehouse Operations functional execution with limited exception. The role works collaboratively with key business partners to ensure timeliness of execution, replenishment, accuracy, condition, and / or other. Interacting with all aspects of STERIS to meet business requirements. Hours: 8am - 4:30pm central time Monday - Friday + overtime as business needs require Location: 14585 Northdale Blvd. Rogers, MN 55374 Pay: $22 - 27hr Hire: Direct, Full Time What You'll Do: Assure staff remain level loaded throughout the shift, adjusting as needed in areas of assignment Primary contact point for other functional groups to reduce Specialist distraction Lead troubleshooting issues as they arise Assist in staff assessments, assignments, training plans, and projects Assist in the development of improvement strategies and execution plans Support and foster team empowerment and lead by example Cycle Counting coordination and / or execution Follow all provided control procedures and policies to complete tasks Lead engagement activities assuring promotion of a safe work environment Functionally work within team to complete shop floor execution daily requirements Lead coordination efforts and flow of product through the areas of report including but not limited to transacting, storage, labelling, movement, packaging, shipment, and return from field and or stock

Requirements

  • 5 (five) years related disciplines experience.
  • HS Diploma or GED equivilant.
  • Previous forklift experience and certification, if none, ability to become certified required.
  • General proficiencies in Microsoft Office and ERP.
  • Wide and comprehensive knowledge of general and specific aspects of the position and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily required.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to continually meet all ADA factors as detailed within this job description.

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle and/or SAP experince.
  • Previous work-related leadership experience.
  • Expereince working on or chairing a safety team or committee.
  • Experience shipping/handling Hazardous Materials (Hazmat).
  • Train the Trainer Certification and/or Forklift training experience.
  • Experience working in and/or implementing 5S and/or Lean Manufacturing practices.
