About The Position

The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing warehouse functions related to the internal flow of materials, accurate inventory management as well as shipping and receiving processes. Provides direction to warehouse staff including assigning tasks to balance the workload. Responsible for maintaining hazardous waste accumulation area and is ensures compliance with safety standards. This position acts as a liaison between warehouse associates, management and provides training to Material Handlers.

Requirements

  • At minimum must meet requirements for Material Handler II and have 1 year experience in that role (or applicable experience from working at similar facility and at least 2 years experience in a leadership role.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and basic computer skills.
  • Current Hazmat and DOT training & certification with renewal every 3 years.
  • Current RCRA training & certification with renewal every year.
  • Experience motivating, leading, and coordinating teams with exceptional decision-making ability.
  • Good housekeeping practices including 5S training.
  • Experience in driving motorized equipment.
  • Adhere to company Health and Safety Rules.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of paperwork.

All employees have the obligation to highlight unsafe conditions and EHS Managers, Officers, Supervisors and above have the responsibility to shut down any activity if it is operating in an unsafe condition.
  • Employee may bend, sit, squat, stand, crawl, walk, climb, push/pull, and kneel.
  • Employee must reach above shoulder level, use fine finger movements, other.
  • Employee may be exposed to excessive noise, moving machinery, marked changes in temperature and/or humidity.
  • Employee may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, chemicals.
  • Employee may work in confined quarters.
  • Employee may carry/lift loads over 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shipping, receiving, and production staging activities including prioritization of Material Handler I and Material Handler II tasks.
  • Responsible for leading and directing all warehouse activities related to 5S.
  • Receiving of raw materials and shipping of finished products in accordance with ISO work instructions and properly documenting and labeling such.
  • Internal management of material flow including staging of materials for production, replenishment of materials in the designated production storage areas. Storage of finished goods and removal of used materials from the production floor.
  • Responsible for properly documenting and overseeing the shipment of hazardous materials off site including closing instructions and labeling requirements of hazardous waste containers.
  • Communicate maintenance repair, safety, and quality concerns to Supply Chain Manager.
