Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Some basic computer skills (MS Office, Word, Power Point and Excel).
  • Warehouse management system such as Oracle or similar.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing/processing facility is a plus.
  • 1 year of previous forklift experience is required.

  • Basic math, computer, chart reading, and record keeping skills.
  • Have mechanical aptitude (including ability to troubleshoot).
  • Leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and work ethic.
  • Willingness to work efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all workplace safety rules.
  • Work with Supervisor on daily work assignments for team.
  • Ensure team members have been trained and are using equipment safely.
  • Coach team as needed.
  • Drive stand-up/sit-down forklift/walkie truck.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line.
  • Mark materials with identifying information.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Use computer to enter records.
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
  • Operate pallet-wrapping equipment.
  • Move Semi Trailers as needed with yard tractor.
  • Operate cardboard compactor/ Trash compactor.
  • Maintain inventory records.
  • Ensure product quality by verifying expiration dates and proper materials; ensure product is free of contamination.
  • Other duties as assigned.
